SBWS wage subsidies unclaimed after June 28, 2020 shall be forfeited-SSS

The Social Security System (SSS) statistics show that 43,435 employees for the first tranche and 61,954 employees for the second tranche, who have been notified to pick up their wage subsidy through M.Lhuillier cash remittance have not yet done so.

These employees are reminded that the EXTENDED deadline for claiming SBWS subsidies is on June 28, 2020.

For faster processing of payouts, please bring two (2) valid IDs and present the reference number that was sent through SMS.

Wage subsidies unclaimed after June 28, 2020 shall be forfeited and shall revert to the government for use in other programs to fight COVID-19.

PDIC announces more claims filing options for Rural Bank of Tibiao depositors


More options to file deposit insurance claims have been made available to depositors of the closed Rural Bank of Tibiao (Antique), Inc., whose account balances amount to more than PhP100,000, with the lifting of the Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ). 

The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) announced that in addition to filing deposit insurance claims conveniently through electronic mail (email) at tibiao-pad@pdic.gov.ph, it will also resume acceptance of claims through postal mail, courier service, and personal filing starting on June 1, 2020. 

Claims to be filed through postal mail and courier service should be addressed to the Public Assistance Department, Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation, 6th Floor SSS Building, 6782 Ayala Avenue corner Rufino St., Makati City 1226. 

In compliance with health protocols and standards, personal filing at the PDIC’s Public Assistance Center in Makati City will be on a per appointment basis. To make an appointment, depositors may call the Public Assistance Hotline at (02) 8841-4141 or at Toll Free number 1-800-1-888-7342 or 1-800-1-888-PDIC, email at pad@pdic.gov.ph, or send a private message at PDIC’s official Facebook account, www.facebook.com/OfficialPDIC. 

When filing claims through e-mail, scanned copies or photo images of the signed and accomplished Claim Form, evidence of deposit (i.e. savings passbook, certificate of time deposit, etc.), and one valid photo-bearing ID with the depositor’s signature, should be attached to the e-mail. Depositors are advised to send the scanned copy or photo image of the first and last page of the passbook, or the front and back portion of the certificate of time deposit as e-mail attachments. 

When filing claims personally or via postal mail or courier service, depositors are advised to enclose the accomplished and signed Claim Form, original Savings Passbook and/or Certificate of Time Deposit and photocopy of one (1) valid photo-bearing ID with signature. 

The PDIC reminded the depositors that, regardless of the selectied option in filing of claims, the accomplished Claim Form should contain their signature and contact information. Submitted documents should be complete, readable and clearly scanned, as applicable, for proper verification. The depositors are further advised that additional documents may be required by PDIC in the course of evaluation and processing of claims.

Rural Bank of Tibiao (Antique), Inc. was ordered closed by the Monetary Board through Resolution No. 344.A dated March 5, 2020. It is a single-unit rural bank located on Gov. A.T. Lim Avenue, Poblacion, Tibiao, Antique.

The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) was established on June 22, 1963 by Republic Act 3591 to provide depositor protection and help maintain stability in the financial system by providing deposit insurance. Effective June 1, 2009, the maximum deposit insurance coverage is PhP500,000 per depositor. All deposit accounts by a depositor in a closed bank maintained in the same right and capacity shall be added together.     The Philippine Deposit Insurance Corporation (PDIC) announced that
    depositors of the closed Providence Rural Bank, Inc., whose accounts have
    balances of P100,000 and below, will soon receive their deposit insurance
    payments through postal money orders (PMOs) with the lifting of the modified
    enhanced community quarantine (MECQ) in Metro Manila.
    Individual depositors whose accounts have balances of P100,000 and below
    are eligible for outright payment of deposit insurance through PMO. These
    depositors are not required to file deposit insurance claims if they have no
    outstanding loans with the closed bank, and have complete addresses in the
    bank records or have updated this information through the PDIC Mailing
    Address Update Form.
    PMOs amounting to PhP15,000 and below may be encashed either with the
    local post office or with the nearest Land Bank of the Philippines branch.
    Meanwhile, PMOs above PhP15,000 may be deposited to the depositor’s
    account in any local bank.
    PHLPost started the dispatch of PMOs on March 10, 2020 but suspended
    delivery to depositors during the community quarantine.
    Providence Rural Bank, Inc. was ordered closed by the Monetary Board
    through Resolution No. 291.B dated February 27, 2020. It is a single-unit rural
    bank located on National Highway cor. Aglipay St., Brgy. Bulala,
    Camalaniugan, Cagayan.
    The PDIC advised depositors who have not received their PMOs to inquire with
    their local post offices or to contact the Public Assistance Department at (02)
